Robert Stier

Robert Lee Stier, 86, of Sauk Centre, Minnesota went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 1, 2022.

Robert was born on December 2, 1935, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Anna (Vlieger) Stier.

Robert was united in marriage to Charlotte Tomoson on November 12, 1954, in Wheaton, Minnesota.

Over the years, Robert worked at numerous jobs, which included manager of turkey farms, school custodian, Transportation Director of Alexandria School District #206, selling and driving school buses, and worked for Ferguson Excavating.

On Sunday, May 1, 2022, Robert passed away under the care of St. Croix Hospice while surrounded by his loving family.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte and daughter Susan Radil; his parents, his sister, Betty and his brothers, Russ, Dean, and Lloyd.  Robert is survived by his children, Bob “Chuck” (Deb) Stier, Debbie (Jerry) Schutz, Terry (Denise) Stier, Rose Bullick, Paul (Ginny) Stier; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 5-8 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home and then continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 1 PM at St. Luke's Church in Garfield, MN with Pastor Sue Davidson officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Alexandria, MN.
