Marvin Anderley

January 3, 1926 — October 5, 2017

Marvin Lawrence Anderley, the son of Lawrence and Elizabeth (Coopman) Anderley, was born on January 3, 1936 in Le Sueur, MN. Marv graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1953 and then worked road construction and owned his own milk truck route. In August of 1956, Marv met the love of his life, Twila Greene and instantly knew that she was the one he was going to marry. They were united in marriage on August 21, 1957, in a little white Catholic Church by Geneva, MN. Together they lived in Belle Plaine, MN and raised two children Bob and Carol. Marv moved his family to Mankato in 1963 where he drove truck over the road and then worked for Singer Sewing Co. as the store manager and then Morton Buildings. In 1971, Morton Buildings opened a new office in Alexandria, MN and Marv jumped at the opportunity to manage it. He grew this location to what it is today and succeeded in attaining the Million Dollar Salesman’s Club for two consecutive years. Marv retired in 1997, after suffering a severe stroke and continued to live in Alexandria.

Marv once told Twila, “He would show her the world.” He did by winning many trips all over the world for his sales accomplishments with Morton Buildings. They traveled to South American, Europe, Africa, Hawaii, and the Caribbean.

Marv was a wonderful husband, great dad, and loving grandfather and great grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and especially his great granddaughters who always warmed his heart. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
