Marie "Mickey" Sievert

Marie Ella Anna Sievert (Bundy) Vendel, known to friends and family as "Mickey". She was born on April 6, 1927 to Frank and Rose (Donner) Vendel in Alexandria, MN. Mickey passed away on October 6, 2020 in Grand Rapids, MN at the age of 93 years. She married Robert Bundy (Bob) on September 17, 1949.  They were married until his death on December 1, 1973. They had 2 daughters. Mickey was able to find love again and married Donald Sievert on May 28, 1980. They were married up until his death.

Mickey enjoyed dancing, fishing, cooking, gardening, camping and spending time with her family. Mickey and Don moved from the Twin Cities to Cloverdale, MN after they retired. After Don's death she moved to Sandstone, MN with her daughter, Sandy. They lived in Sandstone until Sandy's death in 2016. Mickey then moved to Grand Rapids, MN to be by her daughter, Jackie.

Mickey is survived by her daughter: Jackie (Dennis) Howard; five grandchildren: Dawn Pagel, Lori (Tony) Rella, Amy (Kevin) Frank, Kristofer (Kristin) Sanchez, and Paul (Anna) Effertz; her sister: Alice Weiman; three step-children: Carol (Scott) Bean, Kathy (Bill) Dodge and Brad (Patti) Sievert; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; seven step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; two brothers: Otto Vendel and Robert Vendel; her daughter: Sandra Effertz; and her step-son: Daryl Sievert.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020, 10:30 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN with visitation one-hour prior at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Alexandria, MN.
