Jose Herrera

Jose Luis Luna Herrera was born on March 2, 1977, in Zapopan, Jalisco Mexico the son of Anastacio Luna and Arcelia Herrera.  He moved from Mexico to the United States when he was 17 years old.  Jose worked construction for twenty-five years and loved helping people.

Jose was united in marriage to Lorena Luna Lopez.  To this union three children were born.  He was a family man and loved spending time at home with his family.  He looked forward to his trips back to Mexico to visit family and friends.

Jose enjoyed watching old western movies and his favorite soccer team was “Las Chivas”.  He loved to hang out with his brother-in-laws (they were like brothers).  He will be remembered as a caring, respectful and humble man.

Jose died suddenly on Saturday, July 24, 2021.  He is survived by his wife, Lorena; children: Jasmine, Elizabeth, Luis: one grandchild, Santos, his parents: Anastacio and Arcelia; siblings: Rocio, Jorge, Nancy, Lizette.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021, 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria with the  Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.
