Helen Bahlmann

Helen Jane (Tauber) Bahlmann was born on July 15, 1938, in Glenwood, Minnesota to James and Christine (Vindedahl) Tauber.  She graduated from Glenwood High School and attended a few years of college.

Helen was united in marriage to Darrell Bahlmann in 1966.  The couple moved to Minneapolis when Helen went to work for Cargill in the cities.  She worked her way up to be the chief credit officer and worked for Cargill for over 30 years, retiring in 1994.  After retirement, the couple moved to Lowry to be close to the farm where she grew up.  Darrell passed in 2001.

Helen enjoyed flower gardening, feeding birds, reading, working on crafts and puzzles, going on charter bus tours and her Alaskan trip with Karen Tauber.  She was gentle, quiet, was nice to everyone, and had a love of animals.

Helen died on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 81.  She is survived by her brother, James Tauber Jr. in Nelson; sister-in-law, Sharon Tauber of Glenwood, and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Christine; husband, Darrell; and brothers, Eugene, Ed, George, Leonard and Paul Tauber;  sister, Alice Luetgers and infant sister, Helen Tauber.
