Delores Mae Fredrickson was born on March 24, 1931, in Sioux City, Iowa to Melvin and Elizabeth (Keck) Shadduck. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City, IA. Delores graduated from Central High School in Sioux City.
On April 16, 1953, Delores was united in marriage to William Fredrickson at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. To this union the couple was blessed with three children, Steven, Michel and Debora. Delores worked as a bookkeeper for a few different companies around the Sioux City area including: Sioux City Stationary, Grand Jewelers, Western States Automotive, and managed the bookstore at Morningside College. The couple moved to Albuquerque, NM for a few years, before moving to Brandon in 1985.
She enjoyed watching nature around her property, listening to music, and playing the piano.
Delores died on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the Evansville Care Center in Evansville at the age of 90. She is survived by her sons, Steve (Lyn) Fredrickson of Robbinsdale, and Michel (Debra) Fredrickson of Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and “Brazilian son”, Romeu Rocha. Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Elizabeth; husband, Bill; and daughter, Debora Sullivan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Brandon. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
