Candy Steidl-Stern

Candy Lynn Stern was born on May 23, 1975, to Jerry and Linda Kay (Stern) Deidrich in South St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended elementary school in Carlos, Minnesota and Jefferson Senior High School in Alexandria, Minnesota.

Candy was united in marriage to Scott Steidl for 23 years. With this union the couple brought four beautiful children into this world; Donovan, Brittany, Katelynn and Shawn. Candy loved to fish and camp and had an enduring love for animals. Most of all, Candy loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Candy died at the age of 47 on Friday, June 17, 2022, at North Memorial Hospital. Preceding Candy in death are mother, Linda, and father, Jerry. She is survived by her children, Donovan, Brittany (Sylinna), Katelynn (Wyatt) and Shawn; her grandchildren who she loved and cherished, Nayeli, William and Tabiain; her husband, Scott (fiancé, Abby) Steidl; and her fiancé, Mike Knight; brother, David (Shannon) Stern; niece, Alexis Stern; nephew, Austin Stern; great nephews, Keaton and Karson Stern; aunt and uncle, Sandy (Jack) Vitali; cousins, DeAnna Vitali and Tim Stern.

Candy will be dearly missed by everyone’s life she has touched. Blessed be the memory of Candy Stern.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
