Verna Giese

Verna “Peggy” Giese was born on July 28, 1920, to John and Emilia (Mettler) Huether in Ruff, Washington.  She graduated from Bismarck Hospital of Nursing in 1942, where she met her future husband, Cliff.  Their marriage was blessed with two children, Mark and Kathy.

Peggy was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck all of her adult life.  She enjoyed playing bridge and having coffee with her many friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, brother, two sisters and husband, Cliff in 2017.  She is survived by her son, Mark (Bonnie) of Tahlequah, OK, daughter, Kathy (Larry) Ortloff of Alexandria, MN; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Cliff and Peggy had been living at Grand Arbor in Alexandria, Mn since 2010.

Memorial service will be held at Grand Arbor on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior.
