Susan J. Roehrborn

Susan Jean Roehrborn, age 70, of Paynesville, Minnesota, and formerly of Alexandria, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, at the Paynesville Health Care Center.

Born on August 13, 1956, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, Susan was the daughter of James and Jean (Bandt) Roehrborn. She grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota, where she graduated from Bloomington-Kennedy High School in the class of 1974. She married Greg Swanson on September 13, 1975, and in 1978, they welcomed their son Christopher.

For many years, Susan dedicated herself to the Bloomington School District, where she worked as a secretary. Her career was cut short in 1999 due to a stroke, prompting her retirement. Following her time in Eagan, she relocated to Alexandria in 2005, eventually moving to the Paynesville Health Care Center in 2019. Throughout her life, Susan cherished music and enjoyed singing with the Young Believers group during her youth.

Susan is survived by her son, Christopher (Jennifer) Swanson of Alexandria; grandson, Caden Swanson of Alexandria; sister, Connie (James) Aure of Alexandria; nephew Josh (Rachel) Aure; and her niece Ashley (Jerry) Tvrdik.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jean Roehrborn.

A Graveside Service to honor Susan's life will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10 AM at Kinkead Cemetery.
