Steve Johnson, age 65, passed away peacefully at home on October 29 with his wife, Abby, and his dog, Hemi, by his side. Steve grew up in Ostrander, MN, and graduated from high school in LeRoy, MN. Steve started work helping various bar businesses until eventually being able to own his own, The Outback Bar. He gave up that lifestyle when he became a husband and a father. Choosing a place on the map halfway between his home town and Abby’s, Alexandria became their new home. He raised his family with a quiet, reassuring love that he showed his children and all of their friends. Three weeks ago Steve was able to meet and to hold his one-day-old, first grandchild, Bronson, whom he loved so dearly. Steve was a hard worker all his life and took pride in being the scheduler at Beacon Engineered Solutions (formerly Donnelly Custom Manufacturing Company). Steve was dedicated to his coworkers and the company for 34 years. He carried the company cell phone always and would answer questions or concerns 24/7. Employee #163 will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Abby, his son, Cody (Brittany), his grandson, Bronson and his siblings, Debborah Cummings, Pam (Dave) Stevens, Brian (Sandy) Johnson along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Allie, his sister, Lisa and his mother, Ethel Zalky.
May Steve rest in peace.
Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
