Stephen (Steve) Hugo Reger, 74, of Brandon, passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2025. Son of Jerome Reger and Frances (Dillenberg) Reger, he grew up on the family farm near Urbank, MN.
Steve was a loyal friend, devoted grandparent, and loving father. Though usually a quiet man, the words he spoke were full of wisdom. He loved nature and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was an honored Veteran who cared about his country. During his service he was part of a showcase marching processional at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany, for which he earned a medal. After serving in the military, he spent most of his adult life working in construction.
Steve is survived by his 5 children: Allison (Chris) Mitlyng of Sartell, Andy (Sarah) Kolle of Duluth, Anthony (Angie) of Kensington, Amilee Woida (Seth Gonzalez) of Brandon, and Courtney Reger of Alexandria; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings: Jerome (Chris) Reger of New Ulm, Robert (Lou Ann) Reger of Dalton, Rose (Lyle) Hellerman of Evansville, and Danny (Pam) Reger of Clitherall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Christine (Reger) Arneson and Susan (Reger) Arneson.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, starting at 2:00, at his home, 13178 Hagedorn Road NW, Brandon, Minnesota 56315.
