Sherwin "Steve" Spiegel

A beautiful voice fell silent when Sherwin “Steve” Spiegel passed away peacefully on January 29. Born in St. Paul, Steve settled in Alexandria with his young family when he joined KXRA in 1963. His deep, baritone voice echoed over the radio waves for 40 years 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Joanne. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Lorie (Ben), Linda (Rich), and Jennifer (Lars); his grandchildren, Steven (Kim) and Savanna (Ryan); and his great-granddaughter, Mavis. 

Visitation will be at 10:00 am at Anderson Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 7. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, followed by a reception. Our sincere gratitude to the caring and respectful staff at Bethany Home Rehab and Nursing Home, and to Moments Hospice.
