Sharon Lily Jorgensen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024, at her home. Born on October 23, 1955, Sharon lived a life filled with love, joy, and devotion.
As a child, Sharon had the opportunity to experience various cultures and countries due to her father's profession in the Central Intelligence Agency. She spent her formative years in the Philippines, Germany, England, and Greece. Despite the constant movement of her family, she adapted with grace and resilience. Sharon graduated from high school in Taiwan and carried the valuable lessons learned from her upbringing throughout her life.
Sharon's true calling and greatest joy came from being a dedicated homemaker. She poured her heart into raising their two daughters while simultaneously tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Sharon had a green thumb like no other; nurturing plants brought immense happiness to her soul. She would spend hours carefully tending to her garden which became a haven of beauty and serenity.
In addition to cultivating plants, Sharon also had a passion for canning delicious foods for her family to enjoy.
Beyond her domestic pursuits, Sharon had an adventurous spirit that drove her explorations of nature's wonders. She delighted in picking rocks and spent numerous hours digging for crystals and fossils. Uncovering these precious gems was not only a hobby but also an expression of her curiosity about Earth's geological mysteries. Additionally, she had an endless fondness for animals and always welcomed a cat or dog into her home with open arms.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of many years Russell; two daughters: Jillian Jorgensen-Friesz and Michelle Jorgensen; precious granddaughter Lydia Friesz; her mother, Lily Olson; brothers: Gene Olson and Greg (LaRae) Olson. Sharon's father, Robert, preceded her in death.
