Scott Zastrow

Scott David Zastrow was born on April 18, 1947, to Egner and Phyllis (Swenson) Zastrow in Alexandria, MN. He attended and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1966. Following high school, he attended Alexandria Technical College for Mechanics then proceeded on to join the National Guards and served from 1967-1973.

On July 8, 1967, he was joined in marriage to Deborah Jean Jacobs. They were married for 45 years till she met her heavenly father in 2012. They were blessed with 5 children. Scott retired from 3M in Alexandria, MN after 20 years.

Scott enjoyed fishing and time on the lake with family and friends. He enjoyed yard games, playing cards, campfires and being around his grandchildren. He had a great love of chocolate that never ceased to amaze us all!

Scott died on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at his home in Brandon at the age of 74.  He is survived by his daughter, Kymberly (Stacey) Beyer of Brandon, MN; four sons, David Zastrow of Brandon, Darin Zastrow of Brandon, Steven Zastrow of Alexandria, and Richard Zastrow of Brandon; and 11 grandchildren, Brianna, Riley, Haddie, Brody, Bailey, Brock, Micheal, Mariah, Madison, Lillian, and Tristan. Scott is proceeded in death by his wife, Deborah Zastrow; parents,  Egner and Phyllis; brother, Kenneth Zastrow; father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Betty Jacobs; two brothers-in-law, John Hennen and Gary Jacobs; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Herrin and Beverly Jacobs; and his great nephew, Ryan Jacobs.

A Memorial Service will be held 4:30 PM on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.
