He was baptized at East Moe Church in Garfield and confirmed at First Lutheran in Alexandria. Bob grew up in Alexandria on Lake Victoria with his three sisters, before that living in Minneapolis for a short time. Bob was an incredibly kind man and enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed hunting of any kind and fishing. Bob and Kathy enjoyed frequent trips to Florida together. He enjoyed spending time at the lake and being in the boat. He loved watching westerns and telling stories and "remember whens". He had a unique sense of humor and had the best laugh. He loved playing cards, mostly poker with family or cribbage with Kathy. He enjoyed camping with his family and was a Vikings fan through and through.
