Richard R. Rosenfield, affectionately known as Rick, passed away on September 25, 2023, at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria. He was born on April 19, 1947, in Junction City, Kansas. Rick lived a fulfilling life marked by significant achievements and dedication to his passions.
Throughout his career, Rick excelled at Douglas Machine Inc., where he devoted over 30 years of his life. His relentless work ethic and commitment to excellence were unwavering and made a lasting impact on the organization.
Outside of his professional life, Rick found immense joy in serving others and engaging in activities that fueled his passions. One such passion was skiing, which led him to spearhead the creation of the Ski Patrol at Andes Tower Hills Ski Resort in Kensington, MN. His love for skiing and dedication to safety ensured countless enjoyable experiences for visitors to the resort.
Rick attended Villard High School before furthering his studies at Moorhead University. Not content with this achievement alone, he went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota - Morris.
Golf held a special place in Rick's heart, offering him not only recreation but also fun with friends who shared his love for the sport. He derived great satisfaction from spending time on golf courses, honing his skills and cherishing friendly competition.
Rick will be dearly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy of hard work and compassion.
The visitation will take place at Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory located at 659 Voyager Drive NW in Alexandria on October 2, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Rick's passing is a significant loss, but his memory will endure as a symbol of dedication and compassion. May he rest in peace, forever remembered for his remarkable contributions and the impact he made in the lives of those around him.
