Alexandria

Renee Marie Jossart, age 68, of Alexandria, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 11, 1957, in Rochester, Minnesota, Renee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Proud of her Irish heritage, Renee embraced life with a vivacious spirit. She found joy in tending to her beloved garden, with beautiful flowers blooming throughout the summer. Traveling the world with her husband, Doug, she created cherished memories exploring the landscapes of European countries, South America, and many other destinations. Together, they enjoyed cruising on their pontoon around Lake Burgen, sharing laughter and sunsets that would become the backdrop of many treasured moments.

Renee had a knack for shopping for her family, delighting in the joy it brought to those she loved. Her heart was especially open to her grandchildren, whom she adored and spoiled at every opportunity. Family vacations were the highlights of her life, filled with laughter and love, strengthening the bonds she held dear.

A devoted Catholic, Renee lived a life characterized by kindness, thoughtfulness, and a feisty spirit that endeared her to many. She found joy in outdoor concerts, listening to the tunes of her favorite bands, and the warmth of friendships. She especially enjoyed the winter months spent in Florida, where she delighted in biking and socializing with friends.

Renee is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Doug Jossart; her son, Matt (Katie) Jossart of Alexandria; her daughter, Nicole (Kyle) Meissner of Brandon; and her six precious grandchildren, Avery, Owen, Addie, Finley, Croix, and Stella. She also leaves behind her brother, John (Tamara) Ryan; her sisters, Mary (Rick) Witt, Paulette Ryan, and Teresa Ryan; and numerous nieces and nephews who will always hold her memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Renee's spirit will continue to bloom in our hearts, just as she nurtured her cherished flowers. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
