Renée LaVonne Dulski

April 13, 1942 — May 15, 2024

Alexandria, Minnesota

Renée LaVonne Dulski, born Renée LaVonne Tessier on April 13, 1942, in Fargo, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 15, 2024, at Edgewood Vista, Alexandria, Minnesota surrounded by her family.

Renée's life was marked by her nurturing spirit, hardworking nature, and spunky positive attitude. She touched the lives of many as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and coworker.

Renée grew up the middle of five children to Andrew and Bernice Tessier in Fargo, North Dakota.  She was very close with her family and enjoyed spending summers at the family cottage on Rose Lake throughout her life. Renée graduated in 1961 from Shanley High School in Fargo, North Dakota where she made close lifelong friends.

She met Bernard Vincent Dulski in Fargo, the couple fell in love and were married on May 29, 1965. To this union the couple were blessed with three wonderful children, Joel, Steven, and Andrea. In 1971 the family moved to Alexandria, Minnesota and resided on Douglas Street surrounded by fantastic neighbors. Her home was a beautiful late 1800’s Victorian she loved decorating. Professionally, Renée spent 27 years working at Bethany on the Lake, Alexandria as an Activity Aid. Renée was a long-time member of a Bunco club and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria, MN.

She enjoyed gardening and was a phenomenal cook; she spent a lot of time in her kitchen where she made delicious meals rarely ever exactly the same because she never used a recipe. Renée's creativity extended beyond the kitchen as she had a knack for anything crafty or decorative. She loved helping friends and relatives with their projects and events. Renée was resourceful, thrifty, and usually had a side hustle earning extra money for the family. She was a talented seamstress, which came in handy on annual visits to her sister Sandy’s in Denver, Colorado where she helped with all the Halloween preparations at her costume store.

Most of all Renée loved being a grandmother to all her grandchildren.

Renée's journey was one of love, selflessness, and dedication to her family and friends. Her warm presence brought joy to those around her and will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Special thanks to primary caregiver, best friend, and daughter Andrea Uhde, granddaughters Gracie and Chloie Uhde for all of the extraordinary love and support for Renee in her final years.

Renée is survived by her children: Joel (Dawn) Dulski, Steven (Wendy) Dulski, Andrea (Jason) Uhde; grandchildren: Benjamin (Christina) Dulski, Mason Dulski, Sophia Dulski, Gracie Uhde, Chloie Uhde; great-granddaughter: Nora Dulski; sisters: Jacqueline Carol Keller, Diane (Marvin) Bachmeier, Sandy Tessier (Chuck Anderson), Gary (Peggy) Tessier; brother-in-law: Michael Dulski; along with many nieces and nephews.

Renée was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Bernice Tessier, cherished husband Bernie Dulski, and brother-in-law Wendell Keller.
