Paulette Mary (Roelike) Bachman was born March 10, 1947 in Melrose, MN to Gilbert and Evelyn (Bauer) Roelike. She attended catholic school in Elrosa and later graduated from Belgrade. Paulette moved to Sauk Centre following graduation where she worked at Finger Hut. She married Gary Bachman and together they had three children: Tim, Jason, and Tammy. Due to Gary’s work the family moved to several cities over the years from Denver, CO to Rapid City, SD, and then to Carbondale, CO. In 1982, Paulette and the kids moved back to Elrosa, MN and eventually made their home in Alexandria, MN. She loved playing cards, bingo, doing word searches, and watching the game show network. Paulette enjoyed going to listen to bands and dancing as well. Her best spent time was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up.
Paulette was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 but was able to beat it and go into remission. She found out in January that the cancer had metastasized and after a short battle she passed away on May 10, 2021 at the age of 74. Paulette is survived by her three children: Tim (Trudi) Bachman, Jason (Nicole) Bachman, and Tammy (Tim Montalvo) Bachman; 16 grandchildren: Ashley Cole, Brandon (Danyelle) Bahner, Brent (Tammy) Bachman, Alicia Bachman, Andria (Isaac) Holker, Zachary Bachman, Sam Bachman, Tyler Arvidson, Landon Arvidson, Jake Arvidson, Alexis Bachman, Aiden Sosa, Analia Sosa, Timia Montalvo, Julian Montalvo, and Kashius Montalvo; nine great-grandchildren and one due in September. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson: Levi Bachman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:30 PM on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at the Anderson Funeral Home. A luncheon will be held following the service at the Alexandria VFW.
This service will be live-streamed and recorded for family and friends to view from Paulette’s obituary page on the Anderson Funeral Home website at 12:30 PM on Wednesday. Burial will be at a later date at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Elrosa, MN.
