Pamela Johnson

August 2, 1950 — November 9, 2020

Alexandria, MN

Pamela Sue Johnson was born August 2, 1950 in St. Paul, MN.  She was adopted by Webster and Harriet (Carlson) Johnson of Evansville, MN.  When Pamela was just a toddler, Harriet passed away. Webster was aided by his brother and sister-in-law, Orvin and Nadine Johnson in caring for Pam.  Orvin and Nadine became Pam’s second set of parents.  In 1955, Webster married Donna Fedje and Pamela returned to live with Webster and Donna.

After the fourth grade it was decided that Pamela’s learning disabilities would be better served at a care facility in Cambridge, MN.  She lived there for several years before returning to Alexandria to become resident of Project New Hope.  Most recently she has been a resident with Prairie Community Services and has worked at the Alexandria Opportunities Center.  Pamela enjoyed doing crafts; she especially enjoyed paint-by-numbers and ceramics.  Pamela loved visiting with people, and she was very appreciative of her coworkers and her caregivers.  Pam looked forward to and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She had a great sense of humor and was always a good sport when being teased - she gave as well as she received.

On Monday, November 9, 2020, Pamela died at the age of seventy years. She is preceded in death by her two fathers, Webster and Orvin Johnson; and her mothers, Harriet and Donna Johnson. Pamela is survived by her second mother, Nadine Johnson; her brothers, Douglas Johnson and wife, Therese, Kevin Johnson and wife, Karen, and Alan Johnson and wife, Denise; special cousins, Janice Gudmundson and husband, Willis, Sharon Kummrow, and Jerry Johnson and wife, Cheryl; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and additional cousins.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Mound Grove Cemetery in Evansville. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Alexandria. www.andersonfuneral.net
