Monica Mary Pronek, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024, at St. Cloud Hospital in Minnesota. Her loss is deeply felt by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
 
 Monica was born on July 15, 1964, in Buffalo, Minnesota, to her loving parents James and Dorothy (Vail) Langanki. 
 
 Monica grew up in Osakis, graduated from Osakis High School and went on to earn her Associate of Science degree in Hydraulics from Alexandria Technical and Community College. However, she enjoyed working as a cook and bartender.
 
 In 1989 Monica welcomed her daughter Cassie and on September 14, 1991, she was united in marriage to the love of her life Wencil Pronek who became a dad to Cassie that day. Together they were a loving family until Wencil sadly passed away on January 24, 2018.
 
 Monica's was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her interests were diverse, from her prowess in the kitchen to her love for crocheting and reading. She found true joy in spending time with her grandchildren Dantae and Junior, creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured.
 
 Monica is survived by her daughter Cassandra (Jesus) Torres and grandsons Dantae and Junior and her only sister Mellissa (Troy) Martell and niece Caitlin. 
 
 She was predeceased by her parents Dorothy and James Langanki and beloved husband Wencil Pronek.
 
 A graveside service to honor and celebrate Monica's life will be held on May 8, 2024, at Saint John's Cemetery in Nepomuk, Lowry, Minnesota. The service will commence at 3:00 PM to reflect on the beautiful life Monica lived before bidding our final farewells.
 
Monica Mary Pronek will forever be remembered for her kindness, culinary talents, and unwavering love for her family. May she rest in peace knowing that she touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity.
