Alexandria

Micheal David Heiser was born July 25,1953 to Walter and Elsie (Gimbel) Heiser in Eureka South Dakota. He was baptized at Hoffnungstal Lutheran Church on August 30, 1953. He was raised on the family farm, with a brief move to California. He attended Holzworth Country School, grades 1 through 6. In 1966 the family moved to a farm outside of Parkers Prairie, MN, near Rose City and Esther Lutheran Church, where Mike was confirmed on August 25, 1968. Mike graduated with the class of 1971 from Parkers Prairie High School. Mike then farmed with his parents on the family farm. In 1991 he started working as a long-haul truck driver for many years. In his retirement years he enjoyed working in the potato fields near Parkers Prairie.

His favorite past time activities, included snowmobiling trips in the mountains, deer hunting and 4-wheeling with family and friends. He was married on June 16, 2016 and cherished his new family, especially his grandchildren. Together they bought a home and settled in Parkers Prairie for their retirement years. Mike battled with cancer and eventually was put on hospice home care. On July 2, 2025, Mike admitted himself to Nelson Care Center by Vivie in Alexandria MN.

Mike passed away on August 2, 2025, surrounded by family and was welcomed to life eternal by his parents, grandparents, sister Cindy, baby brother, brother-in-law Steve and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He leaves behind his wife, her children and grandchildren, sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many good friends.

A very special Thank You to the Hospice staff and staff at Nelson Care Center by Vivie and Anderson Funeral Home, both of Alexandria MN
