It is with profound sadness that the family of Michael Bertram Mosleth of Alexandria, Minnesota, announces his passing on Thursday September 12 2024, at 73 years of age. Michael passed away unexpectedly yet surrounded by dear friends while on a spiritual pilgrimage in Ireland.

He graduated as an honor student, eagle scout and John Phillip Sousa Award-winner from Long Prairie High School. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Minnesota before completing medical school as part of the 2nd graduating class of Mayo Medical School. Michael completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Later he completed a fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He practiced medicine at Milwaukee Medical Clinic, Columbia Hospital and other locations around Milwaukee, WI. He retired his practice in 2020 from the Sanford Health Broadway Clinic in Alexandria, MN.
Michael was a loving father to his two children: Amanda Choudhary (Kavish) and Timothy Mosleth (Erin) who he raised with his former wife, Robin Mosleth. He was a beloved grandfather to his four grandchildren: Madan and Remi Choudhary & Devin and Anna Mosleth. Michael was a devoted son who returned to central Minnesota to care for and keep his mother company for the final 9 years of her life. He was a cherished brother and uncle to his sisters Katherine Holmes (Jim) and Margaret Grewing (Doug) and their families.
Michael put his heart into everything he did whether playing trumpet in the Long Prairie High School band and, pursuing academics, practicing medicine, caring for those he loved, or thoughtfully exploring spirituality and mindfulness. He was a lifelong learner who loved reading, observing nature, meditation, being on the lake, and listening to music.
Michael is remembered for his kindness in caring for others from his days as a young man in the Long Prairie community to helping his patients and their families heal or find peace. He was known for his devotion to God, community and social justice through his mindfulness practice and membership at the First Congregational United Church of Christ. He cherished his daily interactions with all who would spare a moment to speak with him. He will be missed by many relatives, friends, former colleagues and patients.
