Maynard Charles Trousil

Maynard Charles Trousil passed away on Sunday, July 26th, 2026, at Knute Nelson Care Center. He was 87 years old. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 31st, 2026, at St. John Nepomuk Church in Lowry, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Bohemian Independent Cemetery.

Maynard Charles Trousil was born on March 4, 1939, to Albin and Emily (Chermak) Trousil in Glenwood, Minnesota. He grew up on the family dairy farm near Lowry as one of five children. Maynard attended country school while helping on the farm and later graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in Alexandria, Minnesota.

Maynard met the love of his life, Deanna "Deanne" Trousil, at the Lakeside Ballroom. They were united in marriage on May 9, 1961, at St. John Nepomuk Church in Lowry, Minnesota. Together they made their home on a farm near Lowry, where they raised their two sons, William and Bruce. Maynard took great pride in teaching his boys the values and skills of farming.

He was a faithful member of St. John Nepomuk Church, served on the Lake Mary Township Board for eight years, and served in the National Guard for seven years.

Maynard enjoyed collecting toy farm equipment and spending time at the casino, where family and friends knew him as one of the luckiest people at the slot machines. He loved listening to and watching videos of Mollie B polka music, watching game shows, and playing Canasta with his family.

Those who knew Maynard will remember his quiet and gentle nature. He was a mild-mannered man who rarely raised his voice. His calm presence, steady work ethic, and love for his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Maynard Charles Trousil passed away on Sunday, July 26th, 2026, at Knute Nelson Care Center at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife, Deanne; son, Bruce (Cindy) Trousil; grandchildren, Bradley (Samantha) Trousil, Bret Trousil, Cassandra (Mike) Meland, Brandon Trousil, and Kaylee Trousil; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Kathy) Trousil and Peter (Julie) Trousil; and sister, Marlene Dynda. Maynard was preceded in death by his parents; son, William (Linda) Trousil; sister, Dorothy Chlian; brother-in-law, Gary Dynda; and nephews, Brian Dynda and Mike Chlian.
