Mary Louise Lund was born July 7, 1948 in Alexandria, MN, the seventh, and baby, child of Engvald and Vendla (Aslagson) Lund. She was raised in Alexandria where she graduated high school. Mary continued her education and received an associate degree in hotel and restaurant management.

Mary was blessed with two son, Cody and Brandon. She worked for Radisson Arrowwood as a manager for several years. Mary then took a job with the Alexandria Technical College where she taught hotel and restaurant management until 1994. Most recently Mary worked as a dietary aide at Douglas County Hospital where she made many friends. Mary retired in 2010.

Mary loved spending time watching the old black and white movies on Turner Classic Movies. She also was a fan of Dancing with the Stars. She loved music and dancing.

People were important to Mary. Her children and grandchildren were special to her and time spent with them was a treasure.  She enjoyed visiting with friends and was always willing to lend a hand when needed.  Her dedication to hospitality included sharing her happy disposition with others; she was a ball of sunshine.

On November 21, 2018 Mary died at the age of seventy years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and five siblings. Mary is survived by her sons Cody Pajari and wife, Kayla, of Alexandria and Brandon Pajari and wife, Jessica, of Big Lake, eight grandchildren; and one sister, Alda Wicklund of Amery, WI.

A memorial service will be held 3pm Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home.
