Mardith Fae Feigum

Mardith Fae Feigum was born on October 17, 1934 at Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Norman and Flossie (Bennett) Bestland of Hanley Falls, Minnesota.

She was baptized at the Hanley Falls Lutheran Church and confirmed at the Glenwood Lutheran Church by Rev. David J.Quill. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1952 and was married to Orville Feigum at Glenwood Lutheran Church on June 12, 1954 by Rev. Quill.

She worked at the Nelson and Kuhn Law Office in Glenwood for 28 years.

Orville and Mardith farmed south of Glenwood 37 years before moving to Alexandria in 1991 where Mardith worked for the Minneapolis Star and Tribune and also drove school bus for District 206 in Alexandria.

Mardith was a member of Barsness Lutheran Church where she held various offices in the church and WELCA. She was also a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW. After some time in Alexandria she joined Calvary Lutheran church in February of 2015. Mardith enjoyed cooking and baking, entertaining, raising flowers and visiting with friends and relatives. Orville and Mardith liked to go to the coffee shops and visit with friends.

They enjoyed traveling and spent two winters in Apache Junction, Arizona.

They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Barsness Lutheran Church in June of 2004.

Mardith was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; parents; various cousins; brothers-in-law, Norman (Gladys) Feigum, Paul Feigum, Joe (June) Feigum and Bill Davids; Sisters-in-law, Juanita Feigum and Dorothy (Darwin) Schmoyer; niece and godchild, Michelle Davids; nephew, Ronald Feigum; mother and father-in-law, Oliver and Mable Feigum.
