Linda Gooden, 76, of Alexandria, formerly of St. Anthony Village, passed away May 23, 2025, from complications of Parkinson's Disease at Bethany on the Lake. Born in St. Paul, MN April 26, 1949, to Robert & Lenore Crouse. She was a 1967 graduate of Alexandria High School and 1968 graduate of Alexandria Technical College. Linda was preceded in death by her father Robert Crouse and mother Lenore Crouse. Survived by her loving husband and best friend, Tom, son Jim Gooden (Beth), daughters Amie Kinne (Jon), and Diane Takaki (Sean), sister Donna Podratz (Mike), brothers Dick Crouse (Dawn), Larry Crouse (Dee), Les Crouse (Eve), sister Debbie Brown, five grandchildren (Kyle, Nathan, Logan, Jack, and Keira) and many nieces and nephews. A lifelong member of VFW Post 936 Women's Auxiliary in Alexandria, Linda had the true gift of hospitality and loved her family, friends, and serving others-even more than she loved her Sprite and potato chips.
Visitation will be held with refreshments at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 12, at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM. A private family committal service will be scheduled at a later date. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed below.
