Larry Eddie Noetzelman

Larry Eddie Noetzelman was born on September 23, 1942, in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, to Benjamin and Esther (Karger) Noetzelman. He grew up in the Parkers Prairie area and graduated from Parkers Prairie High School.

Following high school, Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. On February 18, 1967, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Karen Hass, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Garfield, Minnesota. Together they built a life centered on family and hard work. Three children were born to this union: Brian, Michelle, and Brad.

Larry began his career with 3M in Alexandria, Minnesota, in 1969 until 2000. He worked there for nearly 32 years, taking great pride in his work until his retirement.

Larry was a man who enjoyed life's simple pleasures and treasured time spent with family and friends. He was a talented woodworker who spent many hours in his woodshop, and helping his children build their first homes. He loved hunting in the fall, fishing throughout the year, and especially enjoyed ice fishing during the winter months. Summer was a special season, as it meant time on the lake, pontooning with grandchildren, cousins, family, and friends.

A regular at Jim and Judy's morning coffee club, Larry looked forward to visiting with friends and sharing stories. He also enjoyed playing cards with his siblings, grilling for family gatherings, and welcoming visitors to his home. Larry was known as a perfectionist who took pride in everything he owned. Whether maintaining his beautifully kept lawn and lakeshore property or caring for his home and belongings, he always gave his best effort and attention to detail. One of Larry’s favorite things, was a full restoration of his WD45 Allis-Chalmers tractor.

Larry's life was defined by his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, and his love of the outdoors. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his willingness to help others, and the many memories he created with those he loved.

Larry E. Noetzelman, age 83, of Miltona, Minn. died Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, Larry is survived by his children, Brian (Mary Byrne) Noetzelman, Michelle (Paul) Chermak, and Brad (Karla) Noetzelman. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Trent Noetzelman, Taylor Noetzelman, Krystal Chermak, Sierra Chermak, Harley Chermak, Zaven Noetzelman, and Zella Noetzelman; great-grandson, Kroy Slavik; brother, Dennis (Judy) Noetzelman; sisters, Darloween Wunderlich, Cynthia (Carmen) Sorenson, Mazie (Jim) Kruse, Vicky (Carl) Schwartwood, and Susan Noetzelman; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Karen, parents, Ben and Esther Noetzelman, his sister Charmaine Ann Schumacher and his brother Maynard Noetzelman.

He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and dedication that will be cherished by his family and friends for generations to come.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Ebenezer Lutheran Church near Leaf Valley, MN. A visitation will take place two hours prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Full military honors will be accorded by the Minnesota Honor Guard, and the Veteran's Memorial Honor Guard.

A Private Family interment will be Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to Ebenezer Lutheran church in Leaf Valley where Larry and Karen were lifelong members.
