Kenneth was born on February 10, 1937, in Lake Mary Township, Minnesota to Rudolph Sr. and Doris (Zilker) Zeithamer. He attended country school and helped on the family farm before joining the U.S. Army and serving two years for his country.
In 1961 at the Lakeside Ballroom, he met the love of his life, Arlene Keipe, and the two were married on September 3, 1962, in Alexandria, Minnesota. Kenneth was devoted to his family as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His commitment to his family was evident with all the support he provided to everyone.

He remodeled and built many of the buildings on the farm site. For 35 years, the farm was operated as a dairy farm before it was converted to beef for 12 years. After retirement from farming, Kenneth and Arlene took time to tour the United States and Canada.
