Keith Henry Wussow was born on April 5, 1963 in Alexandria, MN to Kenneth and LaVerne (Bettermann) Wussow. Keith grew up on the family farm and attended District 23 Country School, Zion Lutheran School and graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in 1981. Keith attended Alexandria Technical College where he majored in diesel mechanics. After graduation he moved to Bottineau, ND where he worked for a John Deere dealership. In 1985 Keith moved back to Garfield, MN where he started at Midwest Machinery (formally Glenwood Equipment). He worked there for 38 years, working his way up from a shop technician to service manager while mentoring many mechanics and servicing customers throughout Minnesota.
He married Sandra Dreger on June 29, 1991 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria, MN where they were members for 31 years. Together they were blessed with three children Jessie, Adam and Paige. He was a dedicated husband and father with a big heart. Keith enjoyed working and playing with his family evidenced with many projects, vacations, and helping his brothers on the family farm.
Keith was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scout Troop 412 where he also served as a leader for several years and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. Together Adam and Keith went on many adventures to Camp Wilderness and other Boy Scout camps in Minnesota, North and South Dakota. He also guided some Boy Scouts to obtain their Eagle Scout rank.
Keith walked into Jesus’ arms on Monday, January 2, 2023 at home surrounded by his family at the age of 59 years. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Sandra (Sandy) Wussow of Garfield, MN; daughter Jessie (Aaron) Kuseske of Glenwood, MN; son Adam Wussow of Garfield, MN; daughter Paige Wussow of Garfield, MN; siblings Bruce Wussow of Garfield, MN; Rodney Wussow of Alexandria, MN; Carol (Tom) Myhre of Otsego, MN; and Steven Wussow of Osakis, MN; father-in-law Wayne (Verda) Dreger of Miltona, MN; brother-in-law Ken (Sheri) Dreger of Deer Trail, CO; sister-in-law Brenda (Craig) Mariucci of Clovis, CA; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Keith was proceeded in death by his parents Kenneth and LaVerne Wussow; mother-in-law Delores Dreger; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 4:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 7, 2023 9:30 - 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
