Kara Kliewer was born on October 16, 1972, in Mankato, Minnesota the daughter of Douglas and Theresa (Lyons) Kliewer. The family lived in Mankato until Kara was in the 8th grade and then they moved to Mason City, IA. In the early 1990’s she moved to Alexandria where she graduated from Alexandria Technical College with honors.

For several years Kara worked for Dynamic Healing Center where she loved helping people and then as Payroll Manager for Central Specialties. She was a hard-working, devoted employee.

Kara was married to Mike Pearson in September of 2023. The couple enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Ranch barbequing, having bonfires and enjoying the good life. This was her happy place and she loved watching the sunsets there. Family was important to her. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them.

She will be remembered as a kind, happy person who had a beautiful smile and was full of life. She gave her all to everyone.

Kara died on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Mike; children: Jordan (Stacey) Kliewer; Dani (Jesse) Thompson, Devon Pearson, Dylan Pearson and Cheyanne Pearson; grandchildren: Declan, Bryson, Aubri, Skylar, Lincoln, Azaya, Vaya, Ashton, Leva Bell; mother-in-law, Claudia Scarborough; step-mother, Carolyn Kliewer; Kenny Hvezda and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kalli. She will be tremendously missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 12:00 -1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home with a Memorial Service at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
