JuleAnn Kelley

Juleann Betsy Kelley was born on November 24, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents, Arthur and Olga (Moline) Pearson.  At the age of 10, she was crowned Queen Juleann from the Minneapolis Retail Grocers Association.  She graduated in 1961 from South High School in Minneapolis.

Juleann was united in marriage to Michael Kelley on December 19, 1964, in Richfield, MN.  The couple lived in many different parts of the country throughout their younger years.  In 1985, the couple came back to Minnesota and made their home in Edina.  Juleann spent more than 20 years working as a supervisor for Lumberman’s Underwriters Association.  After retirement the couple moved to Alexandria in July of 2005.

The couple enjoyed traveling and especially loved their trips to Ireland and London.  Juleann was a very considerate person and kindhearted.  She loved everyone and everyone loved her.  Juleann enjoyed golfing and taking care of Mike.

Juleann passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at her home in Alexandria under the care of Knute Nelson Hospice.  She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Michael Kelley of Alexandria; sister-in-law, Paula Eggebrecht; and many friends.  Juleann is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Olga; brother, Ted; and beloved cat, Junior.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:30 PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria.  Visitation will be held from 11AM-12 PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at the Anderson Funeral Home prior to the service.  A live stream and recording of the service will be available 12:30 PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, on the funeral home website.
