Judy Ann Kelly

March 18, 1946 — April 13, 2026

Alexandria

Judith “Judy” Ann Kelly, age 80, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026 (at home surrounded by family and under the compassionate care of Vivie Hospice). Judy lived her life filled with love, faith, and friendship.

Judy was born on March 18, 1946 to Leo and Mary Zacher.

She married the love of her life, Joe Kelly on August 6, 1966. Together they built a beautiful life surrounded by numerous amazing family and friends.

She and Joe shared this love every week when family gathered at their house for Sunday dinner.

Judy also shared her love of life and energy when playing bridge, golfing, fishing, Gourmet Group gatherings, playing pickleball, biking and her time out on the lake on the jet ski. She shared her love and faith thru gifts of her stained glass creations.

Judy and Joe have hosted the Kelly 4th of July week every year since 1978. They have given this celebration on Lake Ida to share their love and watch their family grow - Enjoying the Burkey 4th of July parade, fun on the lake, many games, and of course Judy’s well known “fear factor” presentations.

Every year Judy so enjoyed the ritual packing up Christmas decorations so she and Joe could head to Florida to enjoy their Florida Friends, sunshine, fresh crab “MMMmmm”, sunsets, walks and collecting shells on the beach.

Judy loved her travel adventures with Joe in the Travel Van. Visiting several National Parks, Hot Air Ballooning at the Albuquerque festival, parasailing in Florida (Joe’s gift on her 75th birthday) and trips to California visiting Patrick and Sarah. She enjoyed the adventures with Carol and Vicki exploring Boston, Chicago and the train adventure in Colorado. She also enjoyed traveling to several other countries with her family.

Joe and Judy have enjoyed cheering at so many sporting events with their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Staying behind to celebrate her life are her husband, Joe; children Carol Kelly, Vicki (Tim) Jodsaas, Patrick (Sarah) Kelly; Grandchildren Cole (Leah) Jodsaas, Hannah (Connor) Busse, Josh (Kelsey) Jodsaas, Chris Zale,

Great Grandchild Ayla, So many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and the most amazing collection of friends.

Judy has told us she is so excited to see her Family in the Sky when God will lead her home. She will have so much love welcoming her. We will just have to wait until we can see her again.

Until then – she is watching over us.
