John Warren Madigan

John Warren Madigan, born on August 7th, 1943, to John and Juanita (King) Madigan in Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on June 24th, 2026, at the Nelson Care Center in Alexandria, MN. He was 82 years old.

John enjoyed reading books about World War II and spending time visiting with his girls. He had a deep appreciation for World War II airplanes and was fascinated by nearly everything related to that period in history. In his younger years, he loved fishing and spending time outdoors. John also enjoyed collecting classic cars and model kits, often challenging himself to assemble them. His hobbies reflected his curiosity, patience, and love of history, leaving behind many memories for those who knew him.

John is survived by his 3 daughters, Christine Stengel, Maria (Kenneth) Smith and Deanne (Alan) Schweer; grandchildren, Nicholas Bartyzal, Erica Duffy, Cassandra Stengel, Spencer Schultz, Brandon Carlson, Austin Smith, and Amanda Smith; great-grandchildren, Cooper Carlson, Ava and Evelyn Duffy, Aubrey and Tristan Bartyzal, and Aiden and Arianna Carothers.

Burial will be at Lake Ida Cemetery in Alexandria, MN.
