Jodi (Klug) Johnson

February 3, 1979 — November 10, 2025

Garfield

Jodi Anne Klug was born February 3, 1979 to Richard and Marilyn Klug in Wadena, MN and lived in Eagle Bend until moving with her family to Alexandria in 1982. She attended Garfield Elementary, Central High and graduated from Jefferson Senior High in 1997. She furthered her education at Brainerd Community College receiving a degree in Signs and Graphics. Later receiving her Master's Degree in Business Administration and HR from the University of Phoenix. She was a long time employee of Verizon, Manager of Country Inn & Suites in Stillwater, MN, Alex Tax and recently being accepted for her dream job...working remotely from home, giving her the opportunity to spend more time with her family.

Jodi met Ben Johnson July 10, 1999 and it was love at first sight for both of them. They were united in marriage on December 10, 2005 on the beach in Clearwater, FL. Ben and Jodi were blessed with two beautiful children; Ryan born in 2006 and Emma born in 2008. Jodi was a loving and beautiful wife, Mom, daughter and sister. She loved her family unconditionally with all her heart. She was the glue that held their life together being the bookkeeper/accountant for Ben and Ryan's businesses as well as helping Emma through her last year of high school, graduating in 2026.

Jodi was an animal lover from an early age. At age 6, she would catch frogs in the swamp with her brother, Jesse. They would load them into their wagon and offer "frogs for sale" at the end of the driveway.

Always being the first to offer to bring the school mice home for the weekend even though Mom was not impressed. Mom was also terrified of garter snakes. Jodi caught one, placed it in a jar and brought it with on a parts run to Carlos. Halfway there, she informed Mom the snake got loose. It was a long and stressful trip, snake was removed before heading home and she knew enough to never do that again! She loved her rescue dogs and always made sure they lived "the good life."

She was blessed with a beautiful and contagious smile, matching her "free spirit" personality. Jodi passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 10, 2025 at the young age of 46.  Jodi's legacy will live on as she shared the gift of life through organ donation. Jodi is survived by her husband of 20 years Ben, Son Ryan, Daughter Emma, Mom Marilyn Klug, Brother Jesse Klug, Father-in-Law and Step Mom Ritchie and Cherryl Johnson, Mother-in-Law Laura Bolke, Brother-in-Law Reece Johnson and Great Grandpa Bob Johnson and Ruby as well as her beloved dogs Alex and Stella and Kitty Birdie along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
