Jeannine Reese

Jeannine (Jeanie) M. Reese passed away January 27, 2022 at Nelson Gables, Alexandria, MN after a brief illness.

Jeannine M. Reese was born in Graceville, MN on May 14, 1932 to Edmund (Ole) and Edith Bormes. The family lived in Beardsley later moving to St. Cloud, MN. Jeanie was a junior in high school when they moved to Alexandria, MN. It was there that she met Richard A. Reese. Jeanie and Dick were married on July 19, 1951 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria.

Jeanie and Dick moved to Biloxi, MS where Dick was stationed with the US Air Force. While stationed in Biloxi, their first child John, was born.

Following the completion of Dick’s service, the family moved back to Alexandria, MN where their son Tom was born. Dick’s career moved them to Brooklyn Center, MN and their daughter Julie was born. Jeanie spent her days as a homemaker, caring for her family.

The family enjoyed many weekends at their cabin on Lake Ida.

Upon retirement Jeanie and Dick moved back to Alexandria. Sadly Dick passed away in 2005.

Jeanie enjoyed attending her children’s sporting events, volunteering, reading, and watching the Gophers, Vikings, and Twins. (Although she could be found cheering for Aaron Rogers and the Packers when they weren’t playing the Vikings.)

Jeanie is survived by her children John (Ruth) Naples, FL, Tom (Laurel) Pillager, MN and Julie (Walt) of Alexandria, and several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A private family service was held. Internment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Alexandria, MN.
