Jane Lange

Mary Jane Lange was born on October 31, 1940, in Montevideo, Minnesota to Helen (Martin) Larson and Marshall Larson. In 1945, the family moved to Alexandria and bought a farm. It was here where Jane’s love for the outdoors grew. Jane began her horse-riding career at the age of 10. Jane rode horse for 60 years participating in many horse trail rides, shows, and parades. 

Jane graduated in 1958 from Central High School in Alexandria.

On June 23, 1962, Jane was united in marriage to Clarence Lange. They were blessed with 3 sons, Alan, Steve, and Curt. Jane was a very active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and participated in a lot of volunteer work there.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Clarence, and her parents Helen and Marshall Larson. 

Jane is survived by 3 sons, Alan (Carrie) Lange of Miltona, Minnesota, Steve (Diane) Lange of Parker, Colorado, and Curt (Sara) Lange of Roosevelt, Minnesota; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; Jane’s sisters Val Martin and Pauline (Gary) Swendsrud; and many nieces and nephews.
