Gregg Tryggeseth

Gregg Allen Tryggeseth was born on December 31, 1965 in Glenwood, MN. He attended and graduated from Villard High School. Gregg has lived in the Alexandria area for most of his life and has worked a variety of jobs in different fields throughout his career. Gregg loved spending time outdoors fishing, wood and antler carving, and spending time with his dog, Toggle. He also enjoyed playing guitar and was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor.

Gregg died on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at his home in Alexandria at the age of 56. He is survived by his mother: Kathleen Klug; sister: Pam (Clark) Johnson; brother: Rob (Kim) Tryggeseth; niece: Julie Schmidt; nephew: Seth (Courtney) Standlund; great niece and nephews: Ella, Sawyer, and Solomon Strandlund; and numerous cousins. Gregg is preceded in death by his grandparents: Albert (Betsy) Bagstad and his step-father: Ken Klug.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Garfield, MN with visitation one-hour prior to the service. This service will be live-streamed and recorded for family and friends to view from Gregg’s obituary page on the Anderson Funeral Home website at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Burial will be at the church cemetery in Garfield, MN.
