Glen Carl Klimek, devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, & Friend, passed away on December 25, 2025. Born on September 5, 1957, in Alexandria, Minnesota to Carl and Helen (Thoennes) Klimek. He graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in 1975. He married the love of his life Mary Lou Trousil on June 6, 1977.

Glen was raised on a Dairy Farm and continued farming not far from where he grew up. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, the Eagles, and St. Mary's Catholic Church, contributing to these organizations with his time and talents. He also enjoyed bowling, softball, playing cards, hunting and fishing. Passing many of those joys down to his children.

Family was of paramount importance to Glen; he loved his children deeply and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. His dedication as a father and grandfather is a testament to the values he instilled in his family.

Glen is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Lou Klimek; his children, Angela (Eric) Hennen, John (Mary) Klimek, Rose (Tyler Kopel) Athey, Jason (Aleisha) Klimek, Michelle (Mike Sarff) Klimek, Christopher Klimek, Frank (Kayla Schneider) Klimek, and Austin (Courtney) Klimek; as well as his 16 grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles (Sylvia) Klimek, Ronald (Jeannie) Klimek, and his Brother and Sister-in- Law David and Margaret Jones, and many Nieces and Nephews.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Helen Klimek, In-Laws, John and Magdelene Trousil, and his beloved Daughter, Ashley Klimek and niece Rebecca Klimek.

The family would like to extend a sincere Thank You to the staff at Alternative Senior Care and Vivie Home Care for taking such great care of him.

Visitation services will be held at Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory in Alexandria on January 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria on January 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will take place on January 5, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at noon.

Glen Carl Klimek leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and devotion that will not be forgotten by those who knew him. His life is a reminder of the importance of family, faith, and community.
