George Herman Ketter

George Ketter age 98 of Alexandria passed away March 28th, 2024 at Nelson Gables.

Visitation will take place From 5 - 7 pm Tuesday, April 2nd at Anderson Funeral home, 659 voyager drive Nw Alexandria. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 3rd at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Garfield, Minnesota Lunch to Follow.

George proudly served in the Army during WWII From 1944-1946. He was stationed in Luzon, Philippines as a cook. After his military services he went on to be a butcher. He enjoyed family, traveling, hunting, and fishing. he will be missed by all. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy; his parents Gustav and Ena; sisters Anne, Glady, and Dorothy; and stepdaughter Joyce Kalpin. 

He is survived by his wife Virginia; daughter Terri, (Charles) Desa; son Todd (Jan) Ketter; daughter Dawn (Robert) Clinton; sister Mabe Udhe; grandchildren Jason, Jared, Alisha, Scott, Nicholas and Tianna; stepchildren Karen (Gary) Tinklenburg; Wayne (Deb) Johnson; Dan Kalpin; and step-grandchildren May, Richard, Chad, Dustin, Sarah, and Rich.
