Gaylord A. Nack

February 13, 1959 — November 24, 2023

Alexandria

Gaylord Arthur Nack passed into God’s loving arms on November 24, 2023. He was born on February 13, 1959, to Harold and Billie (Engstrom) Nack in Alexandria, MN. He was baptized, confirmed, and attended Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Nelson, MN. He was born with club foot, so he spent much of his time at Gilette Hospital. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria, MN in 1977 and spent a few years in Texas and Oklahoma working on the oil fields. He married the love of his life Caryl Jane Donnan on December 10, 1983. They were blessed with two daughters: Amy Jane born in 1984, and Crystal Jean in 1989. He loved them with his whole heart. In 2011 Brandon Luedeke married Crystal and joined the family and in 2016 Eric Sweigart married Amy and joined the family. Over the years they were blessed with seven grandchildren. Those kids were his life. He was employed as a welder in 1985 until he retired due to health in 2018. He owned and operated Nick Nack’s bait and tackle for 10 years. He loved to hunt, fish, play pool, ride his Harley Davidson, and most of all spend time with his family. He was loved by everyone who knew him.

Gaylord is survived by his wife, Caryl of Alexandria: daughters, Amy (Eric) Sweigart of Carlos and Crystal (Brandon Luedeke) of Miltona: grandchildren, Maddox, Brylie, Easton, Riaden, Naomi, Gwen, and Parker: sister, Terry (Michael) Diedrich of Garfield; brothers, Mark (Rose) Nack of Nelson and Tim Nack of Nelson: sister, Lori (Dean) Kluver of Osakis: sisters-in-law, Sharyl Berg of Osakis, Colleen (Doug) Fischer of Rapid City, SD, and Marleen (Gary) Gruenich of Fruita, CO: brothers-in-law, David (Julie) Donnan of Littleton, CO, and Peter (Kevin) Donnan/Maresh of St. Louis Park, MN, along with many nieces and nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Billie Nack, mother-in-law and father-in-law Earl and Betty Donnan, and brother-in-law Edwin (Sonny) Berg.
