Elvira Lee

Elvira Mae Lee , the daughter of Walter and Evelyn (Perdue) Lehman, was born on October 3, 1934 in Westfield, New York.  She attended school in Westfield

Elvira was joined in marriage to Roger F. Lee in Dover, Delaware, on December 2, 1970.  In 1974, they moved back to Brainerd for a year and then to Alexandria where Roger went to work at Lee motors with his brother and Elvira continued to stay home.

Playing cards, bingo, listening to country music, reading and casino trips were some of the activities Elvira enjoyed.  However, family was the most important part of Elvira’s life.  She loved all her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed traveling to Delaware in the summers to visit her daughter and her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed spending Christmas with her family and joking around with all of them.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Elvira Mae Lee died on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria at the age of 86 years old.  She is survived by her daughters, Jamie (Scott) McLaughlin of Alexandria and Kimberly (Martin) Stoken of Viola, Delaware; eight grandchildren, Cody McLaughlin, Cole McLaughlin, Chase McLaughlin, Theresa Hicks, Dawn Cason, Robin Brown, Martin Alan Stoken, and Jessica Becker; 13 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Lehman of Greenhurst, NY; sisters, Patricia (Ron) Claus of Westfield, NY and Deborah (Jim) Ditch of Ripley, NY; sister-in-law, Betty Lehman of Westfield, NY, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Kenneth Eldrige, and brothers, Gordon and Harold.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 5-7 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria.
