Heaven gained an angel today.
David Kenneth Norlien was born on April, 14, 1958, to Kenneth and Doris (Rorvig) Norlien. He grew up working on the family farm south of Kensington. He enjoyed the Dukes of Hazard, bowling, all star wrestling, and country music. David had a sense of humor that was sure to make you laugh and you couldn’t help but love him. He had the most beautiful blue eyes that would sparkle with a mischievous twinkle.
David had special needs and attended the DAC in Hoffman for many years. After having a life changing accident, David moved into the New Beginnings care facility in Morris where he was embraced by a loving staff that became his extended family. They formed a connection for a lifetime to come. A special thanks goes to his niece, DeAnn Wehking’s family and all the staff that have watched over his needs for many years.
David passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 3, 2022. He is survived by his sisters, Sandy, Barbara, Bonnie, Carol and Brenda; brother, Kevin; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Diane Hagen; and great nephew, Maxson Linwood Hagen.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Pike Lake Cemetery in Kensington, MN.
