He then attended Alexandria Technical Institute in the Partsman Training Program in 1964 and graduated in 1965.

Curt met the love of his life, Sharon Johnson, from Parkers Prairie at the college mixer. They dated and were married at First Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie on April 2, 1966. Curt loved playing with their kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He enjoyed deer hunting, riding his Harley, going fishing, snowmobiling and hanging out with his friends. Highlights each summer included camping with family at Lake Carlos State Park, attending We Fest and Winstock with Sharon and many close friends.
