Curtis Alan Bah, age 91, passed away on January 7, 2026 at Grand Arbor in Alexandria, where he has lived for several years. Curtis previously lived in Evansville, Fridley, and Farmington, Minnesota, as well as Surprise, Arizona.
Curtis “Spanky” was born on September 23, 1934 in Woodworth, North Dakota to Ole Helmer and Netta (Johnson). Spanky grew up in Evansville and graduated from high school with the class of 1952, and then Concordia College in Moorhead in 1956. Curtis spent his entire career as a devoted employee of Red Owl grocery stores, starting by helping in his family’s store in Evansville. He later worked for several stores in Minneapolis and around the Metro Area. Curt’s favorite place was his home on Pelican Lake, where he enjoyed his favorite hobby – fishing.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Ole and Netta Bah; and his siblings: Genevieve Herbranson, Merle Bah, and Betty Lou Bah.
