Chuck's family would like to encourage everyone to wear their favorite band t-shirt and flannel to Chuck's celebration.

Charles Joseph Bollman was born on November 15, 1961 to Peter and Carol (Patton) Bollman in Mankato, Minnesota. He was one of nine children born to the couple, and attended public school in St. Clair, Minnesota, where he would go on to graduate from high school. As a child Chuck grew up playing football and spending time in the summer at Floding Resort on Lake Brophy in Alexandria, a tradition he and Mary would continue on with their children.

In 1985 Chuck met the love of his life Mary Morrison. Chuck road in to Sibley Park while on a joy ride and parked right in front of Mary who was sitting on the hood of a car. The two were immediately smitten, Mary drawn to Chuck’s long hair and motorcycle. That night, she asked him to accompany her to a concert in St. Paul (REO Speedwagon) and the two became inseparable. Together, they would attend many, many concerts throughout their forty years as a couple.

Shortly after graduation, Chuck started working for Big Gain Feed in Mankato. He also stayed busy buying and selling items for his and Mary’s antique store – he was a real wheeler and dealer! Together they also bought and renovated homes for resale, far before the fixer-upper movement.

Besides concert-going with Mary, Chuck loved spending time with his family – especially his grandkids. They spent many hours on the lake – jumping off the boat, walking the shore to find “treasures,” tubing, adventuring, docking the boat, and walking across the water when it was frozen.

Chuck and Mary also enjoyed their time alone together while on the lake. Chuck loved fishing, especially in the winter, and he and Mary spent the summer out on the lily pad listening to music, lounging, and laughing.

Everyone who knew Chuck loved his easygoing and kind nature, and he will be missed by many. Preceding him in death are his parents, Peter and Carol Bollman; his goddaughter and shining star, Malerie; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Betty Morrison; infant brother, Douglas; brothers-in-law: Doc Winter, Johnny Martinez, Jeff Goyne; and sister-in-law, Janet Bollman. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Bollman; children: Brian (Amanda) Bollman, Leah Bollman, and Brianna Bollman; grandchildren: Ella, Kaylee, Riley, Veyda, and Olive; siblings: Pete Bollman, Penny Winter, Donna Martinez, Tim (Kelly) Bollman, Tom (Nancy) Bollman, Terri Goyne, Jody Hall, and Amy (Tim) Danberry; brother-in-law, Mark Morrison; as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
