Caroline Klug

Caroline Klug was born on March 14, 1942, in Alexandria, Minnesota the daughter of Clarence and Alice (Gehrke) Karger.  She was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Leaf Valley and grew up on a dairy farm in Leaf Valley Township.  She graduated from Alexandria High School in 1960.

On May 19, 1962, she was united in marriage to Orlin Klug to this union five children were born: Renee, Stan, Roxann, Stewart, Steve.  Caroline and Orlin farmed on the family farm she was born and raised on.  After retiring from dairy farming Caroline continued to live on the farm and she worked at Fleet Farm for a number of years.

Caroline loved time with her children and grandchildren.  She loved camping, fishing with family and welcomed their friends into her home.  She also enjoyed gardening being out and about and going to the casino.  She was especially proud of how close her children were and how they enjoyed doing things together.

Caroline died on Monday, July 15, 2019.  She is survived by her children: Renee (Steve) Mickelson, Stan (Candia) Klug, Roxann (Bob) Anderson, Stewart (Tracy) Klug, Steve (Jamie) Klug; 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sister, JuAnn (Mel) Riedel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlin; grandson, Richard Hanson; brother, Eugene Karger, sister, Donna Anderson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Leaf Valley Township.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior.  Burial will be at Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery.  Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
