Bernice "Betty" Zaske

Bernice “Betty” Zaske was born on October 29, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised by her grandparents in Chicago and graduated from High School in 1955. After high school she worked as a waitress and this is where she met James Zaske. The couple was married in 1965.

The couple lived in Chicago for ten years before moving their family to Alexandria during the 1975 Blizzard. While living in Alexandria Betty helped Jim with his business taking care of the office and later worked at Food & Fuel as Manager.

Throughout her life Betty loved to dance whether it was rock-n-roll, polka or a good waltz she was out there dancing her heart out.

Betty died on Thursday, October 16, 2025. She is survived by her sons: James Zaske Jr., Bob Reynolds, Bill Reynolds; 7 grandchildren and son-in-law Glen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Sr.; daughter, Belinda.  There will be a private family service at the funeral home to remember Betty.
