Barbara Ann Paulson

Barbara Ann “Barb” Paulson, 61, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, in Saint Cloud, Minnesota.

Barb was born on August 6, 1964, in Alexandria, Minnesota, to Luella (Winberg) and Elmer Johnson. She graduated from Saint Cloud State University and went on to build a successful career as a Revenue Recovery Manager at Fairview Hospital, where she worked for more than 20 years. She married Jerome “Jerry” Paulson on August 23rd, 1986 and together they raised two children, Jake and Nicole “Nikki” Paulson.

Barb approached life with optimism, always choosing to focus on the positive, even during difficult times. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering belief that things would work out inspired those around her.

Barb was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her ability to make people laugh. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: spending time with animals, watching Hallmark movies, and dreaming of warm sunshine and palm trees. She was the kind of person who could never make it through an emotional movie without tears, and those who loved her will forever smile at the memory of her crying during even the happiest endings.

Barb is survived by her children, Jake and Nikki Paulson; her parents, Elmer and Luella Johnson; her brother, Brian Johnson; her sister, Karen Bosek; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation to celebrate Barb’s life will be held at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN on Sunday, June 28th from 1:00pm-6:00pm.

Barb’s kindness, laughter, optimism, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. While she will be deeply missed, the countless memories she created will forever be treasured.
