Arthur Junior LeSuer

Arthur Junior LeSuer was born on October 21, 1944, in Glenwood, Minnesota to Arthur A. and Evelyn (Wegener) LeSuer. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1962 and joined the United States Navy, serving as an Ordnance Mechanic until his honorable discharge in 1968.   Upon discharge from the Navy, Arthur attended California State University-Long Beach in Business Administration. 

Arthur “Butch” LeSuer was united in marriage to Frances Martin on February 17, 1968, at the Chapel of Wedding Bells in Long Beach, CA.  The couple was blessed with two sons, Tom and Arthur.  The family lived in Long Beach, CA and in August of 1977, moved to Glenwood, MN until settling in Alexandria in September. Arthur was employed in the healthcare industry as a Computer Programmer at the Douglas County Hospital for 25 years. He enjoyed going to casinos with Frances and visiting with friends and family on weekends.

Arthur died on November 18, 2022, at the St. Catherine Nursing Home in Fargo at age of 78. He is survived by his sons, Tom LeSuer of Alexandria and Art LeSuer of Alexandria; grandson, Madden LeSuer; brother, Les LeSuer of Des Moines, IA; and sister, Helen Rosen of Alexandria, MN.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; parents, Arthur A. and Evelyn; and his sister, Shirley Rolseth.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
